Your psychiatrist might not tell you this, but mental hygiene actually begins with the fear of Hashem.  We're not speaking about a craven, ignorant, superstitious fear (1Y 4:18), but a motivational healthy fear of Hashem such as is befitting for chassidus (2C 5:11).

For in the same way that the glow of a lit pilot light keeps every gas cooking stove ignitable and ready for kitchen service, so the saving knowledge of Gehinnom's Eish Olam (Eternal Fire) and of Moshiach Goeleinu (our Savior [from it]) should keep every heart pure and every conscience clean and clear, until the Yom HaDin of Moshiach Adoneinu.  For it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Elohim Chayyim, seeing what will befall those who do not know Hashem and those who do not obey the Besuras HaGeulah of Hashem's Moshiach, especially in view of how indeed they will be shut out from His Shechinah and will go away unto Onesh Olam. 

Would it not be the greatest of tragedies to be lulled into false security by a wicked heart and then finally be rejected on the basis of conduct (1C 9:27)?  Even so, there are those who think they can wager all on the opinions of their misguided religious leaders, seeing no need to examine the words of life on their own, and therefore never personally responding to Moshiach's call. 

When you understand there is a Gehinnom to shun and a Himel to gain, you will be sobered regarding the destiny of your own soul, and you will have a resultant zeal for the salvation of other sinners like yourself.  You will also have a real impetus for fearless kiruv efforts, knowing that the saving message must go forth since only those who believe can escape. 

Hashem's wrath is being revealed from heaven.  Adam's race is condemned already!  The wrath of a Holy G-d has fallen on Mankind, a fact made inescapable when we look upon the hellish anguish forecast for Adam's race in the agony of Moshiach on His Etz HaTemurah (Tree of the Substitution). There Moshiach made our exchange and experienced hellish abandonment by Hashem as our substitute.  There Moshiach took our curse of exclusion and banishment from Hashem's Presence (Ps 22).  There we see Moshiach's body and his members in a state of conscious ruin and we are aghast at the churban of their destruction.  What clearer picture of Hell's conscious torment could we be shown?  What greater punishment could Moshiach take in our place?  How could Moshiach make a greater exchange for us, his undeserved hell for our hell deserved (surely we deserved hell if our sins put Moshiach there)? What a glory that Moshiach did this to release us from the bottomless abyss and bring us shalom with a G-d whose just outrage at our sin is justly and finally satisfied (Isaiah 53:11) in Moshiach!

There are those who think they can scoffingly dismiss the Adon Kol HaAretz. These will have to stand before the Shofet HaKol HaBnei Adam. These scoffers need to realize that Moshiach Ben Dovid has the genealogical credentials to be Moshiach whereas such scoffers may lack even the credentials to be truly Jewish. Friend, you are not in the same league as Daniel. He is a canonical prophet of the Holy Hebrew Bible and you are not. If Daniel speaks about two comings then you will have to live with it. He is the ultimate authority. You are not. If you don't like what Daniel says, that is your problem. You can't change what he says, and he is calling the shots, you are not. Daniel speaks of two comings. Live with it. Get used to it. One coming is the coming in which Moshiach is cut off but not for himself. (In this coming, in other words, Moshiach is cut off from the land of the living for the transgressions of my Jewish people, not cut off for himself). That is one coming. Now let's talk about the other coming. In the other coming Moshiach the Bar Enosh comes on the glory clouds with Hashem the Atik Yomin. If Hashem designed it that way, what are you going to do about it? Do you have the temerity to think that you can tell Hashem that Moshiach has to do it your way? Come on, now. Are you G-d? Can you dictate how Moshiach comes? Can you decree that Moshiach make kaparah to gather spiritually the estranged of the world lost in their Golus of spiritual estrangement and AT THE SAME TIME, ALL IN ONE COMING, can you decree that Moshiach ALSO come on the glory clouds to defeat the enemies of world peace (Isaiah 2:4; 11:6; Micah 4:3) and gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel (Isaiah 27:12-13; 11:12) to the rebuilt Jewish Temple (the 3rd Temple) (Micah 4:1)? Can you require that all this be done in one coming when Daniel speaks of two? Are you a canonical prophet of the Holy Hebrew Bible? Will your words supercede Daniel's in Moshiach's court when you stand guilty before Moshiach's Bet Din for rejecting the Holy Hebrew Bible? By the way, who else but our Moshiach is influencing the entire world to believe in Adonoi Echad, O Israel? (See Isaiah 11:9; Isaiah 40:5; and Zephaniah 3:9).

Your other problem you have with Daniel is that Daniel HaNavi says Moshiach will be reverenced as deity and yet not be an idol. Notice the word PEY-LAMMED-CHET in Daniel 3:12 where Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refuse to PAY-LAMMED-CHET (reverence as deity) the pagan idols and then compare that same word, PAY-LAMMED-CHET, in Daniel 7:14, where the WHOLE WORLD will reverence as deity the Bar Enosh Moshiach on the glory clouds. If you object to this point it doesn't matter, because you are not calling the shots. Daniel HaNavi defines the Jewish religion. You don't define the religion. You are not one of the canonical prophets of Judaism. What Daniel says matters. What you say doesn't matter. So it doesn't matter what you think. Your opinions don't dictate anything. You say, "Why are you out on the street corner screaming about all this?" Let me ask you a question. If a loved one of yours were stepping in front of a train, wouldn't you scream? If Moshiach loved these people enough to suffer as he did for them, should we let them go ahead and step in front of the Gehinnom train, without even screaming? Is THAT love? Here's what you don't want to understand: that little word PAY-LAMMED-CHET can send you to hell, no matter what credentials you think you have as a religious person. Daniel defines Judaism, not you. You are not in the same league with Daniel, in case you didn't know that. If you think you are more Jewish than Daniel, you will discover in Gehinnom that you are not, and you will have all eternity to think about how unJewish you are compared to Daniel.
