Moshiach himself, by knowledge of him, also enables us to escape the lust-engendered corruption of the Olam Hazeh. Our Moshiach is righteous. And the promise of Shomayim HaChadashim and HaAretz HaChadashah where righteousness dwells makes us purify ourselves as Moshiach is pure. By knowledge of our Righteous Moshiach (Isaiah 53:11), who calls us to his own glory and excellence, we have the power given to us for all that pertains to chayei olam and chasidus. So the promise of New Heavens and New Earth where righteousness dwells in Isaiah 65:17 and 66:22 and the other great and sublime promises Hashem has used to open our heart as new creatures who do not lose their footing as we escape this world doomed by its lusts. We thank Hashem for the abundant entrance into the Tzedek Olamim of the Malchut Hashem that Moshiach has provided for us. Because we have been born anew in the power of Hashem, we avoid becoming idle and unfruitful in the righteous knowledge of Moshiach Adoneinu. Thus we work out our salvation with fear and trembling, with earnestness adding emunah to midah hatov and midah hatov to da'as and da'as to shlitah atzmit and shlitah atzmit to chozek and chozek to chasidus and chasidus to ahavah shel achvah and ahavah shel achvah to ahava. Thus we make our calling and election sure. But you say, "If I have to MAKE it sure, how will I ever know that I'm doing ENOUGH?" It is not a matter of knowing one's own achievement or merit. There is none to be known. Salvation is a matter of grace and not deserts. There are two ways: the way of escape from corruption and the way of stumbling back into corruption, like a dog that returns to his vomit. Those that have had a true spiritual turn-around and new birth metamorphosis hate the vomit of the old corrupt life and shun it with every fiber of their being. Some have heard of the Moshiach all their life and they are like the Shliach Philippos, to whom Moshiach said, "Have I been with you so long without you knowing me?" And also there are those in Moshiach's shul that are always learning but never coming to a knowledge of the truth. Some on the last day will be told, "I NEVER knew you. Depart from me into the lake of fire." Those that make a de facto denial of the lake of fire are already stumbling. That the transfiguration actually occurred and was seen by the author, an eye-witness, is proof that in the same way that the transfiguration broke into our world, so also the parousia will actually occur. And as surely as Creation came, by the Word of the L-rd, so coming firey judgment, like the flood, will also come. G-d will break into our world. The godless are deceived for thinking otherwise. Their complacency will destroy them, for they will not be expecting the Moshiach whose surprise inspection will come like a thief in the night and find them wanting, ripe for a harvest of deserved judgment. This is the firey gehinnom. To leave out this aspect of the Gospel is to deny the Gospel. False teachers may try to twist the Hebrew Bible to fit their own private interpretations, but prophecies like Daniel 7:13-14 are made more sure by eye-witnessed apostolic testimonies like that of the 1:16-18 transfiguration. The one who doesn't know the Moshiach who returns in judgment is the one who doesn't know the Moshiach. Apparently there are those teachers who believe for awhile. They were disentangled from the vomit of their old lives, but they became "again entangled" and returned like a dog to their vomit, even though they once knew the way of righteousness. Lot's wife was just beginning to heed the holy commandment and beginning to escape, but then she turned back from the holy commandment and was again ensnared. These are the very ones that such immoral false teachers prey on. The teachers are like pigs that return to the mud, forgetting that their past sins have been cleansed. Apparently there is a type of devilish knowledge that puffs up and enslaves, even while its arrogant initiate scoffs at any notion of coming judgment and so deceives himself that he has attained freedom from ordinary morality. LOOK AT THE TEXT WE ARE DISCUSSING ALSO HERE AND HERE AND HERE We see that Shimon Kefa is preparing to lay aside his "tent" and wants to leave a reminder lest the believers fall from their own stability. He speaks of a staircase of eight steps, starting with faith and ending with agape love, which lead to an abundant entrance into heaven. The dogs outside (see Rev 22:14-15) have no such access. Nor do the false teachers who once knew the way of escape but have returned like dogs to their vomit. They did not make their calling and election as believers and preachers firm. Isn't it time to come back to your spiritual home? PRAY THIS PRAYER AND THEN PRAY THIS PRAYER.
