ARE YOU A FALSE PROPHET PROPHESYING IN THE FLESH
Here Isaiah the prophet is speaking about
Moshiach. See Pesiqta
Rabbati, chapter 37, "Righteous Moshiach, although we are your ancestors,
you are nevertheless greater than we, for you have borne the sins of our
children, as it is written here."
As the Hebrew Bible
says, כארו ידי ורגלי
not כארי
They pierced my hands
and my feet (Psalm 22:16[17]) NOT like a lion.
"Like a lion" was once a margin
reading. We know this because "They pierced my hands and feet" is still found in some Hebrew manuscripts
as well as in the Targum HaShivim. However, even so,
any reader who thinks the idea of "piercing" can be omitted here would
never think so if he himself saw a fierce lion crouching near his own
hands and feet! For more on
this see THE ORTHODOX JEWISH BIBLE.
But Moshiach Tzidkeinu has been given to us as a precious
gift. His mitzvah (righteous deed) justifies us (Isaiah 53:11) for Moshiach
Tzidkeinu is Tzadik Avdi and is our vicarious, credited righteousness (Isaiah 53:8; Gen 15:6) as Scripture
inerrantly declares. We are
declared "not guilty" and we are acquitted and made acceptable through
what our Goel Redeemer has done for us by the righteousness and obedience
of his mitzvah in the matter of the Etz Chayim. Moshiach with his
Etz Chayim had his tests and you will have yours.
Foreglimpses of Moshiach's Etz Chayim
are seen in places like Gen
2:9 and here (we "look up and live" in Num 21:8) in Num
21:8 and 2Sm 18:9
and Deut 27:26 combined
with Deut 21:23. This is the mercy
of Hashem. Are we saying that
Moshiach's Etz is the Etz Chayim? No, the Tanakh is saying that. Moshiach's Etz brings us to Elokim
Emes, Elokim Chayim, even Chayei Olam, because through Moshiach's Etz we
have justification,
which is forgiveness of sins and the assurance of eternal life. See Isaiah 53:11. (see How To Point).
A few years before Pesach 30/33 C.E. Yehoshua/Yeshua had his tevilah in the Jordan mikveh mayim.
Then on Pesach 30/33 C.E. the Lamb of G-d, Moshiach, was hanged on the Etz
HaMe’erat Hashem (Tree of the Plague [Curse] of Hashem, see Moshiach's Isaiah 53:4 nega plague of sorrow and pain borne for us), which became through faith our Etz Chayim.
First let's get something
clear about erroneous notions of Paul and his founding a new religion,
which he didn't. True, the halakhah of his Judaism switched from the
Pharisaic oral law to the Ruach Hakodesh, but his religion was still one
of the Judaisms of the time, not a new non-Judaism Gentile
religion.
The
Aseres HaDibros are not Ten Suggestions, they
are Ten Commandments. They
carry covenant reprisals. These are called curses. Moshiach did not die
because you occasionally have a "bad hair" day. Moshiach interposed himself to
shield you from the curses that are pursuing you
down through the generations, for the curse that I was to receive ended at the Etz Chayim.
If you think you can do all the following mitzvahs perfectly so that you avoid
the curse of Deut 27:26, then
you do not understand the holiness of the torah and the unholiness of your
flesh:
